For emergency medical coverage at the lowest possible cost, BasicPlan covers the essentials your provincial health plan doesn’t – including air and ground ambulance, preferred hospital rooms, in-hospital drugs and more.
GMS Rates by Province
Additional coverage choices:
Coverage for basic services such as exams, polishing, and fillings; and major services such as crowns, bridges, and recall exams are also covered.
- Year 1 – 75% coverage to a maximum of $500 for basic services.
- Year 2 – 80% coverage for basic services and 50% for major services, to a combined maximum of $750.
- Year 3 – 80% coverage for basic services and 50% for major services, to a combined maximum of $1,000.
If you’re currently leaving a plan, you will be eligible to begin receiving Year 3 Dental coverage immediately upon enrollment.
We’ll pay up to $3,500 per person for newly prescribed drugs not fully covered by your provincial drug plan. You only pay a $4.00 deductible for each eligible prescription and save on out-of-pocket expenses when you use a pay-direct card at participating pharmacies.
Up to $5,000 coverage for newly prescribed drugs with $800 of the $5,000 available to drugs for pre-existing conditions, special status drugs and select lifestyle medications and drugs not covered by your provincial drug plan. You only pay a $4.00 deductible for each eligible prescription and a convenient pay-direct card is included.
In the even of an extended hospital stay, Hospital Cash provides coverage for out-of-pocket expenses such as in-room television, Wi-Fi, telephone services and parking lot costs. Up to $100 per day to a maximum of $3,000 per policy year.
